MATILDA

Matilda came into Cafo as a stray. A lovely couple took her in during the heavy storms we’ve been having and tried to find her owner. A lot of the residents said she’s lived round there for a few years but the owners have moved and left her.
Poor Matilda was malnourished, covered in scabs and had decomposing food stuck around her teeth. She’s not chipped and the vets estimates her to be about 5 years old. We do not know if she has been spayed, but it is looking likely that she already has, as has shown no sign of being in season.
She’s really friendly with kids and strangers, and has got a lovely temperament. She’s really affectionate and loving, and enjoys a lot of attention.  She is currently living in an outdoor catio, and makes no attempts to ‘escape’. She will touch noses through the cage with her current fosterer’s own cats and dogs and does not back away or seem frightened.
She is now gaining weight, loves her food, wants attention all the time, is very vocal and loves being held.  She will be microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated before she is rehomed.
