Ember was rescued from a small colony living in a lady’s garden, along with her kitten and a few other cats. We helped trap Ember and her son Biscuit, and they have since been living with their CAFO fosterer who has worked hard with them and now Ember is ready to find a loving home of her own.

As a true tortie, Ember has a bit of sass! She can be incredibly sweet and affectionate but also has moments where she decides she’s had enough cuddles. Because of this, we recommend a home with older children who understand cat body language. Visiting children who aren’t looking to interact with her would be fine.

She’s still adjusting to household noises and finds comfort in her crate, which serves as her safe space. A similar setup in her new home would help her settle in. Once Ember gets to know you, she’ll be your loyal companion—she currently prefers sitting next to you rather than on your lap, but in time, she may sneak her way onto your knee!

After a proper adjustment period, Ember could be an indoor or outdoor cat. She would likely thrive as the only cat in the home, where she can be the centre of attention
